Cruise ships Norwegian Jewel




The Norwegian Jewel is one of the ships of the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and belongs to the Jewel class. The ship was built in 2005 at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg (Germany) and offers capacity for up to 2,376 passengers.

The Norwegian Jewel is 294 metres long and 32 metres wide. The ship has 12 passenger decks, which are accessible via stairs and 12 lifts. The interior design of the ship is modern and elegant, with a variety of public areas and restaurants to ensure passengers have a pleasant and comfortable journey.

Passengers will find a wide selection of food and beverages in 12 different restaurants and cafés. Restaurants include the two main restaurants Azura and Tsar's Palace, the buffet restaurant Garden Café and several speciality restaurants. Culinary highlights range from steak and sushi to Italian and French cuisine.

The ship also has many leisure facilities for the passengers. There is a casino, library, theatre, nightclub and a variety of bars and lounges. In addition, Norwegian Jewel has a fitness centre, a spa and several pools and whirlpools. A jogging track and basketball court are also available.

In addition to all these services, NCL also offers an extensive entertainment programme. There are regular live shows, musical performances, comedy shows and other entertainment. There are also special programmes for children and teenagers organised by the cruise line's Splashdown Kid's Club.

The staterooms on Norwegian Jewel are spacious and comfortably furnished. There are various stateroom categories, including inside staterooms, outside staterooms, balcony staterooms and suites, all of which are very well equipped. A unique feature of Norwegian Jewel are the so-called "Garden Villas", which offer a private terrace and a whirlpool.
